What is TNUSRB SI Exam?
Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) conducts examinations for recruitment of Sub Inspectors, Police Constables, Firemen, and Jail Warders in Tamil Nadu Police Department.
Sub Inspector (Taluk)
Direct recruitment for Sub Inspector of Police in Taluk level across Tamil Nadu.
SI Armed Reserve
Sub Inspector positions in Armed Reserve battalions of Tamil Nadu Police.
SI (TSP)
Sub Inspector recruitment for Tamil Nadu Special Police units.
Eligibility & Exam Pattern
Eligibility Criteria (SI)
- Educational: Any Degree from recognized University
- Age Limit: 20-35 years (relaxation for reserved categories)
- Height: Men - 170 cm, Women - 159 cm
- Chest: Men - 81 cm (normal), 86 cm (expanded)
- Physical fitness & endurance test mandatory
Exam Pattern
- Written Exam: 140 Questions - 70 Marks (OMR Based)
- Subjects: Tamil, GK, Aptitude, Reasoning
- Physical Test: 15 Marks (1500m mandatory, 100/200m, Long/High Jump, Rope Climbing)
- Viva-Voce: 10 Marks (Interview)
- Certificates: 5 Marks (NCC/NSS/Sports)
- Total: 100 Marks
